I did an interview for Idea Bounty the other day and I thought I would have a little snoop around their site. Wow, pretty impressive. And pretty damn clever! they call themselves a “Social Think Tank” and I think that sums it up perfectly.
Idea Bounty
“The best ideas get paid“
How it works is like this : Brands like Red Bull come to them with an advertising brief which gets posted on the Idea Bounty website. Creatives in the ad world (or anyone really, I’m sure) register on the site and respond to the brief. The brief is asking for ideas for a range of things – could be an advertising campaign, could be an online application – could be anything depending on what it is that the brand is trying to solve or achieve.
Anyone and everyone can then submit ideas, after which the ideas are sifted through. The brand then chooses the best idea and awards the
(cash) bounty to whoever came up with it.
Red Bull
Offering a cool R47k for a good idea!
So the one that got my attention is the one they’ve got up there at the moment. It’s for Red Bull and the Bounty is $5,000. Five Thousand DOLLARS, my boet. That’s R47,000. That’s nearly the same as the local South African lottery has to offer. this particular bounty offer ends on the 31st of March, so if you think you’re pretty smart when it comes to ad ideas, check it out now and submit your vibe!
It’s a joke, really. It’s SO made for 2oceansvibers – I mean THAT is how you live the holiday! You chill out at home – get emailed latest bounties, nail them, and earn yourself fifty jocks every now and then. Enough to subsidise your thirst for Veuve Clicquot, at the very least. Now you can have your Veuve with Red Bull on ice…
