The last time we checked in on Helen’s Twitter she was calling out Takealot for that ‘Edgar Allan Poes’ mishap (HERE), and we all enjoyed a hearty chuckle.
Of course the Premier of the Western Cape is known to be rather feisty on social media, something that has often landed her in hot water, and it’s the topic of water that saw her duke it out with a few Twitter users earlier this week.
Oh, and vaping.
A while back Helen proudly declared that she only showers every third day, hoping to inspire Capetonians to use water more sparingly
Here’s what she said:
“I shower briefly‚ once every three days‚ and for the rest wash in the hand basin. I used to wash my hair every day‚ but now only when I shower‚ with visibly negative consequences. However‚ I regard oily hair in a drought to be as much of a status symbol as a dusty car.”
On Monday a Twitter user compared themselves to Helen, and the Premier picked up on that.
That exchange as it played out:
Don’t you even vape, brosephina?
Let’s just use this as a reminder to all use less water, peeps. When your friend next cracks a joke about having a sneaky bath, tell them ‘tsek, make like Helen and be water-wise’.
Oily hair is a status symbol now – never forget.
