Parents have a right to be concerned about hidden pictures of genitals in the TV shows their children watch, but is this mother being a little over the top?

It would appear not, because Netflix has actually pulled the episode of popular children’s show Maya The Bee. Season one, episode 35 in case this show is your jam.

Studio 100, the company behind the show, have now issued a statement, calling the incident a “very bad joke”. Here’s Huff Post UK with that statement:

“An absolutely inappropriate image has been discovered in a four-second fly-by scene in one episode of the total of 78 episodes of the series. The origin of this image obviously results from a very bad joke from one of the 150 artists working on the production.

“This is indeed unacceptable to the Studio 100 Group as owner of the brand and all its partners and doesn’t reflect the quality of its work and its values.”

Looks to me like someone was being a little cheeky. Perhaps the guys who made THIS spoof TV show can look into it?

Maybe you parents want to stick to watching the Showmax offerings on DStv for now – Peppa Pig, Teletubbies and all those other shows that will keep your little ones happy without exposure to men’s manly bits.
