Walking into the Park Avenue Armoury in New York on Sunday, no one really knew what they were getting into.
Celebs and fashionistas alike were there to see what Rihanna had in store to kick-off her FENTY x PUMA 2018 spring-summer collection.
Well, instead of a normal runway, Rihanna’s team had built a runway like no other.
As the show started, lights went on to introduce motocross riders flying over powdered-pink mountains as the audience watched from below.
Of course, motorbikes weren’t the only stars of the show, reports IOL:
The clothes were a mix of fitted and loose pieces, ranging from oversized jackets to tight dresses to shiny swimsuits. Most of the items paired two colours: The navy blue pieces featured hot pink embellishments, while orange and black made up the various athletic suits.
While the clothes, worn mostly by women and some men, could be used at the gym for working out or even gym-selfies for Instagram, some were for the beach. There was a cropped top hoodie, low waisted, knee-length shorts and fashion-forward one-piece bathing suits. One model even wore a towel over his head.
Once they had completed their walk, it was Rihanna’s turn. She rode along the walkway on the back of one of the bikes, as confident and as cool as she always is:
Riri once again proved she is a creative force to be reckoned with. Just take an up-close look at some of her pieces from her collection, which featured around 50 outfits:
Although the collection is yet to be found in retailers, PUMA SELECT is South Africa’s one-stop-shop for everything FENTY x PUMA. Every release is updated here, and right now you can find her latest FENTY x PUMA Cleated Creepers:
