Things Trump loved in 1990 – women, money, power, himself, women, nuclear weapons, himself and grabbing women by the pussy.
Oh, and himself.
Turns out he is still pretty fond of all of those things, but given his current rhetoric about North Korea it’s worth examining an old Playboy interview from 27 years ago.
The giant man baby is throwing around terms like ‘Fire and Fury‘, but rewind to 1990 and here’s some of that Playboy interview via the BBC:
…the topic of atomic weaponry came up.
“I’ve always thought about the issue of nuclear war; it’s a very important element in my thought process,” Mr Trump said. He called it the “ultimate catastrophe” and compared it to an illness no one wants to talk about it.
“I believe the greatest of all stupidities is people’s believing it will never happen,” he continued, “because everybody knows how destructive it will be, so nobody uses weapons. What [expletive].”
Why is a guy who is running a business empire (into the ground, pretty often) always thinking about nuclear war? Why is it a “very important element” in his thought process?
I suppose he showed remarkable foresight in saying that people are stupid if they never think it will happen, because it looks like he will the chap to make sure it does.
Here’s Donald’s rebuttal in the face of criticism after the ‘fire and fury’ line:
How about this beaut from 1984 (the year, not the book), when Trump chirped a (FAKE NEWS) Washington Post interviewer he wanted to run US-Russia nuclear arms negotiations:
“It would take an hour-and-a-half to learn everything there is to learn about missiles,” Mr Trump said. “I think I know most of it anyway.”
If you want proof that he is a complete and utter moron, please enjoy Trump saying things he says he won’t say:
Well done, America.
