Towards the end of June local satire guys ZANEWS dropped their teaser trailers for Game of Cronies and Guardians of the ANC (HERE), and much like the real thing the wait is now over.

Spoiler alert – if you’re not able to laugh at South African politics (a necessary survival skill these days) then these probably aren’t for you.

You don’t have to know much about Game of Thrones either to make sense of it all, which is a plus for those who haven’t become all wrapped up in affairs over at Mordor.

GoT fans will remember Hodor’s origin story, this is the story of Mmusi struggling to make a name for himself, and shake off the DA’s past. But can he find his own way, or will the white walkers drag him down?

In this week’s episode of Game of Cronies, House Luthuli is laughing off the threat of the opposition, Thabo ‘Maester’ Mbeki is writing a letter and so on and so forth and stuff like that, and the Red Army is rising!

If that hits a little too close to home, how about we enjoy a good laugh at the expense of those across the pond in America?
