The story of Lionel Messi and Antonella Roccuzzo is one for the ages, the childhood sweethearts tying the knot this past weekend in what the BBC dubbed ‘the wedding of the century’.

Barcelona’s 30-year-old football superstar married the 29-year-old Roccuzzo in their hometown of Rosario, Argentina, and it was quite the star-studded affair.

The pair pulled out all the stops to make their wedding one to remember. Some info via BusinessInsider:

The glitzy, star-studded bash took place at the City Center Rosario complex and was attended by a host of football royalty, including Luis Suarez, Cesc Fabregas, Javier Mascherano, and Carles Puyol.

Guests were instructed to bring several outfits for the glamorous affair…while mobile phones were strictly off-limits. Some 450 police officers were even deployed to the event.

Despite that cellphone ban some stars did share photos, so let’s run through a couple:

Roccuzzo’s photo of the couple’s matching rings and tattoos has been liked more than 675 000 times on Instagram.
