In one’s lifetime, there are few lessons that only need to be learnt once – and, for a Kruger Park leopard, one of those all-important life lessons was caught on camera.

Donovan Piketh was the man who recorded and shared the moment which saw a lonesome leopard hanging out, when a pair of porcupines decided to trot by.

However, instead of staying clear of them, the leopard “changed into stalking mode,” reports Times Live.

Then, this happened:

The leopard charged after one of the porcupines, and then decided to have a go at the other, but all it got out of this was a collection of quills.

The leopard spent a good few minutes trying to pull the quills out – as the porcupines walked away unscathed.

Eventually the leopard gave up on getting the last of the quills out, and walked off into the bush.
