Today is the day that the food delivery business changes in Cape Town.
For the past few months Uber has been cooking up something new for us in the Mother City, putting together the final touches on an app that makes getting food as easy as requesting a ride.
Yup, UberEATS has officially arrived.
Launched in the USA almost two years ago, the app offers deliveries seven days a week, from 10AM to 10PM, and is available to use right here, right now:
UberEATS connects local restaurants with a reliable delivery option, effectively expanding their capacity and reach to be able to service a whole new network of potential customers.
Through the Uber platform, restaurants can work with a network of couriers to get more meals delivered to more customers, quickly and reliably whenever they are open.
That pretty much means everything from burgers to dumplings are available to order, from over 100 of the best local restaurants in the city.
You can see that full list HERE, and celebrate by watching this video below:
Delivered directly to your door, if you navigate to your promotions tab once you have downloaded the app, and enter the code below, you can get R50 off your first two orders:
EATS17CT
Or, use this code and get R100 off your first order:
100EATSCT
How to order
Pretty sweet?
And just like that your options for lunch today are basically endless.
[Just note, a flat fee of R20 is charged with every order.]
Easy. As. Pie.
