It’s official, beer has entered the realm of ‘sports’.
A trend that began in Berlin, Beer Yoga has made its way to Australia – so that must mean it’s only a matter of time before it lands on our shores.
Billed as the “marriage of two great loves – beer and yoga,” the centuries of practise both indulgences have under their belt can only mean the perfected therapy for the mind, body, and soul.
This is according to Germany’s BierYoga A.K.A BeerYoga, who thrive on promoting enlightenment through yoga under the influence of alcohol.
Imagine the scene below at Devil’s Peak’s brewery – after all, they are the only local brewery who are trying to educate locals on international beer trends and this is definitely one of them:

With two sessions happening in Sydney this weekend, students are set to learn yoga poses involving “beer salutations” and balancing beer bottles on one’s head.
I don’t think I would last long enough without necking a sip.
