A Ukrainian man legit changed his name to iPhone Cim (seven in Ukrainian), when a local electronics store offered to give Apple’s latest product to the first five people to do so.

You see, an iPhone 7 currently retails at $US850 (R11 600), but to change your name only costs R30.

The 20-year-old got the prize on Friday, and said he would consider changing his name back when he had children.

His real name is Olexander Turin.

Of course, his friends and family were shocked, but eventually had no choice other than to support his move. His sister, Tetyana Panina, said:

It was difficult to accept that and hard to believe it’s true.

Each person in this world is looking for a way to express himself. Why not to do that in this way?

I don’t think that is a form of self-expression, dear.
