Oh, this is too brilliant.
Sure the Pokemon Go hype has lost its way a little, and for some it has now been deemed “uncool” to play.
Oh well, I totally log on every now and then to see what’s going on around me in the virtual land of Pokemon trainers. It’s like a parallel universe.
It looks like the prime minister of Norway feels the same, because during a debate in the Storting – Norway’s Parliament – on Tuesday, Prime Minister Erna Solberg was pictured logging onto the game.
But this isn’t the first time Erna, or another member of the Norwegian government, has been caught playing the game.
While visiting Slovakia, Erna took time out for a bit of Pokemon, telling reporters she was keen to hatch a 10km egg. Leader of Norway’s Liberal Party, Trine Skei Grande, has also been caught playing the game, logging on during a meeting on national security in August.
And who happened to be speaking when Erna logged on this last time? Trine, of course:
Translated, her tweet says:
She heard what I said, we ladies can do two things at the same time you know.
Apparently, Erna commented on being caught, saying:
I think that Trine will like that I opened the game while she was at the pulpit.
If you ever found yourself in a situation meeting either one of them, striking up a conversation shouldn’t be too difficult.
