Lately, here has been a lot of news concerning local developments underway around the city’s CBD.
While some of Cape Town’s residents are highly unimpressed with certain plans and prospects, other buildings are making their mark in a more positive way.
Like the Zero-2-One Tower.
Across the road from the Cape Town Central Station, the new building skyscraper is set to be built and could claim the title of Cape Town’s tallest. It is currently in its planning stage.
The Tower will be hosted by the plot on the corner of Adderley and Strand streets (see above).
Comprised of 42 storeys and approximately 148m in height, the Tower will enter South Africa’s top ten tallest buildings, tying with The Reserve Bank Building in Pretoria – read the list HERE.
And it’s not that ugly, either:
The building will have over 600 apartments, 760 parking bays, and a massive retail space as well as a viewing deck with 360 degree views open to the general public.
Look how pretty it sits:
The development was initiated by FWJK, and other projects by the development company include Touchstone House (corner of Bree and Mechau streets) and KMPG Place (corner of Christiaan Barnard Street and Martin Hammerschlag Way).
I see they have a thing for street corners.
