Remember Monster? Sure you do. It was the movie our golden girl Charlize Theron won an Oscar for in 2004, after gaining around 14 kg to play serial killer Aileen Wuornos.
Well, Theron is back at it for her role in her latest project Tully. However, unlike the crime drama Monster, Tully is a comedy about a mother of three who is gifted with the help of a night nanny by her brother.
Hesitant to the extravagance at first, she comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising and sometimes challenging young nanny named…Tully.
For the role, Theron has once again gained a little bit weight. Can anyone say method acting?
The comedy is written by Juno-famed Diablo Cody, and directed by Jason Reitman. The trio previously worked on 2011’s Young Adult – but let’s just hope this will be a lot better than that.
If you can’t see the change in Theron’s physique, here’s a side-by-side comparison.
It’s still nothing like Aileen, though:
