If you have ever been in high school, you know the extent to which learners can drive even the sanest teacher off the tracks.
Whether it’s today’s youth or days of old, there have always been cases of mischief – and that only heightens when an all-boys school is concerned.
A learner from Jeppe Boys High School in Jozi posted a video to YouTube showing his teacher going completely off at another learner. She even pulled a zap.
Now, I am not saying what she did was right, but I can only imagine the amount of frustration she must have endured to break composure.
What do you think?
Thanks to Times Live, we got a transcript:
God you are such an idiot‚ I have to say to you‚ stop your sh*t and work.
Really‚ where is your book? Where are your notes?
What the f*ck is it doing in your case.
Oh shut up you idiot‚ you cannot talk back because you know you are guilty.
This my finger. You can leave!
Johannesburg’s oldest public school‚ an official from Jeppe said they are investigating the incident and have reported the matter to the Gauteng Department of Education.
We have been dealing with the matter since three weeks ago.
We are trying desperately to get the person who put it up‚ to get it down. We know who put the video up but we cannot get it deleted.
We have sent out a statement to communicate this matter to the relevant stakeholders including parents of the children at the school. I cannot go into details of the matter because it’s being investigated.
It’s going to be interesting to see where this case goes. If the teacher gets fired or suspended, how many other teachers will we lose? And what will happen to the learner who instigated the matter?
From Times Live’s Facebook post of their story, people are in complete agreement with the teacher:
Now we shall have to wait and see what happens next.
