Remember when you would go away for the weekend and everyone would ask who was bringing the camera?
Those days are long gone, because nowadays the phones coming out are equipped with some serious photo-taking power.
A chap called Landon Nordeman was handed the chance to put the iPhone 7 Plus to the test at the recently completed US Open, and some of the results are worth a gander.
Some photos require a little info for context, others pretty much speak for themselves:
Stage act Moz Drums, from Lille, France, sit in the Green Room before performing an interactive LED light and drum show at Arthur Ashe Stadium and through the grounds.
Sporting a colour-coordinated outfit, Humberto Becerra, who travelled from Chile for the US Open, surveys the grounds.
Friends Richard Williams (red shirt), Frank McMickens (orange shirt) and Atno “Smitty” Smith (blue shirt) broke out their special occasion pants on Day 13. The trio bought tickets for the women’s final for a second year in a row in hopes of seeing Serena Williams compete.
A ball boy places tennis balls on the racket of Austin Smith, a student-athlete at the University of Georgia, during his match against Thai-Son Kwiatkowski in the men’s collegiate invitational final on Day 13.
Outside Arthur Ashe Stadium, the United States Marine Corps, 6th Communications Battalion from Brooklyn, New York, folds the American Flag used in the opening ceremony for the women’s championship.
The crowd erupts during the men’s final between Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka on the last day of the US Open.
Not too shabby hey, especially when you consider it wasn’t all that long ago that phone pics were basically a guessing game.
If you happen to snap a winning photo, on your phone or otherwise, and decide you want to immortalise the snap in canvas print form we have a treat for you.
Head over to ATB Photo, use the code 2ov15, and receive a 15% discount on all your prints (more details HERE).
Happy snapping, julle.
