All too often we see South African politicians making fools of themselves, international media watching on wide-eyed and open-mouthed.
I’ll point you in the direction of that time the Foreign Minister of South Africa, Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, appeared on Al Jazeera back in June as an example.
You can see that HERE, but suffice to say it was another embarrassing display of ANC cronyism at its worst.
How refreshing then to see Mmusi Maimane putting his best foot forward on CNN this week, following hot on the heels of his interview with TIME (HERE).
Some background from BusinessTech:
Maimane spoke to Christiane Amanpour, chief international correspondent for CNN and host of CNN International’s nightly interview program Amanpour.
He somehow manages to avoid being overly smug about the recent election results, tough under the circumstances, and paints a picture of a work in progress.
Well played sir, now can we make sure CNN doesn’t get hold of any other politicians for comment?
