As much as some of those fantastic 90s car ads try and tell us a vehicle is for life, at some point in our lives we’re either going to be buying or selling.
A few names spring to mind for both, those that we assume are the go-to source when looking to scoop a great deal.
Maybe it’s AutoTrader, or maybe it’s Cars.co.za – given that both have been around for the best part of 18 years, you’d be forgiven for thinking they rule the roost.
Sorry to burst your bubble though, because it’s actually Gumtree that’s taking top spot. Take a look for yourself:

There are a number of reasons for this, most obviously that there’s the largest amount of car ads placed, and largest amount of unique visits per month.

Of course we always say those looking for a MINI should drop Seth a line and score a discount, but you’ll find just about every manufacturer and model up for sale on Gumtree.
Not bad for someone who has ‘only’ been in the game for 11 years. I guess the challenge has been laid down, and some of the competition has definitely stalled.
