There’s nothing like a group of men who don’t take themselves too seriously, and who make you feel sorry for them at the same time.
An Australian underwear label has just done that in their latest Father’s Day campaign and it’s hilarious.
Working with the idea of a “dad bod”, a group of friends sit in a circle and talk about their experience of having kids and how it affected their bodies.
It’s a tongue-in-cheek gender reversal conversation, not only discussing the post-baby bodies, but also comparing themselves to the likes of David Beckham.
Although it might touch on a few insensitives on the actual child bearers, and the effects childbirth has on women’s bodies, it shouldn’t surprise you coming from Bonds, who has a history of using the masculine stereotypes to sell their underwear.
Beware of the close-up crotch shot.
