So yesterday was another one of those days for JZ, although by now he must barely raise an eyebrow when the nation scratches their heads.
First came the story that he was a ‘blesser’ (learn about that term HERE), a 19-year-old called Lindokuhle Dlamini posting photos of her looking cosy with Zuma to Facebook.
Catch up on that HERE, but we’re only getting started.
Next up was Edward Zuma, who claimed that the young lady was his “sister”, and the post was bollocks made up by someone stirring the pot (HERE).
He was partly right, because the Facebook account that posted the images was a fake. That bit about the “sister” though, that was something of a liberty.
Here’s News24:
Like any 17-year-old, the young woman seen kissing President Jacob Zuma in photos has used social media to set the record straight and express her love for her “second dad”.
The teenager expressed her shock and frustration on her profile after a collage of selfies went viral on a Facebook page, which has since been discovered to be fake…
Replying to confused friends who flocked to her Facebook page, the teen said some “dumb-ass guy” in QwaQwa had concocted the viral post.
“I’m not even willing to know him… He doesn’t even know what he’s talking about,” the fresh-faced teen replied to a friend.
OK, so what is the real story behind how she came to be in those pictures with Jacob?
The young woman…has painted a picture on her real Facebook account of an inspirational paternal relationship with Zuma and of good times spent bonding at Nkandla…
She stated: “I’m so glad that I got to meet the person that most people look up to… I know that Minority doesn’t like him but he has taken me as his daughter, I thank you for all the love you have given me throughout the years, I love you baba Msholozi <3 you are the man of your words and I appreciate you 🙂 I have found a second dad in you :)”…
On New Year’s Day, the teen posted that she was travelling to Nkandla, Zuma’s homestead. According to her page, she stayed in Nkandla for a few days and thought it “to be hot and dry”.
A friend then commented that she should go take a swim. When she left, she posted: “It was great seeing baba today 🙂 he always makes my day 🙂 <3.”
Another post in [February] stated that she “still loved Msholozi”.
Not short of a sense of humour, she published a joke in April that provided a new definition for Jacob Zuma as a noun for “a stage where you don’t care about anything”.
Isn’t that nice, our president manages to take time out of his busy schedule to foster a relationship with this young lady.
And that bit about ‘a stage where you don’t care about anything’ – she left out the ‘but yourself’ at the end.
