A few week’s back we told you about Nadia Gustavo, whose life was turned upside down by the events that took place on May 25 of this year.
You can read that full story HERE, although for the sake of brevity we’ll give you a quick run down.
Nadia had her phone hacked, with her Facebook account posting racist comments on the pages of a number of media outlets.
By the time she had realised what was going on, and had deleted the comments, the damage was done. She was dismissed by Virgin Active, her employers of 10 years, later that day without any kind of formal investigation.
Nadia sat down with 2OV Radio’s Aimee Eveleigh to tell her side of the story:
I guess this serves as a serious reminder that we all need to take accountability for our online safety. Whether it’s personal or corporate, and here at 2OV it’s both, we trust the peeps at NEWORDER to keep us out of harm’s way.
Don’t be one of the many who take notice when it’s too late.
