OK fine I’ll admit it, there was a beverage-fuelled moment this weekend when I happened to shovel a pie and a baked treat down my gullet.
I’ve come to terms with indulging my guilty pleasures and am now at peace with my decisions, although that process would have been far easier if someone gave me R1 000 cash for my cheat day.
Enter April’s Corner Bakery competition winner, who has cottoned on to just how easy it is to line his pockets. Here’s the email that we received last week from Matt:
It was just another day in Gardens when my colleague, Lawrence, got the want for a croissant and we headed down to the Corner Bakery on Orange for hasty pastry. You can see the delight in the young man’s eyes! What a beautiful buttery moment.
Let us share in Lawrence’s delight and see first-hand that look in his eyes:
Sheer delight – anyone feel like a croissant?
The most important question remains why aren’t you hopping on board and rewarding yourself for dabbling in the good stuff? It really is too easy – we’ll spell it out so you can hop on board for the May competition.
To win the R1 000 do the following:
Find a Corner Bakery at an Engen QuickShop near you (there are tons all over the country) – check out their store locator map here. They can be anywhere in South Africa peeps, don’t be shy.
Pick out what your guilty pleasure is and take aim, then snap a picture of yourself enjoying your treat.
You don’t actually have to be in the Corner Bakery at the time, scoff it down as you please but include some form of branding (like the packet) so we know you stopped by.
Every month we will publish the best picture received from you, our beautiful readers, and someone is walking away with R1 000 cash.
Email entries to henk@2oceansvibemedia.com and you will be entered into the competition.
You can also enter on Twitter by tagging @2oceansvibe and using the hashtag #GuiltyPleasuresCB.
That’s one picture of something you love to eat and a G in the back pocket – see, told you it was easy.
