I was at a wedding this weekend (it seems so was half the country judging by Facebook) and there was plenty of style on display. Dapper shirts, tight pants and buffed up shoes were there for all to see – but why do so few people give attention to their socks these days?
No matter what you may think socks are still a fashion item, and judging by the response to our Sexy Socks design competition many of you agree.
What we now sit with is our FIVE FINALISTS, selected by the team at Sexy Socks themselves. The winner has a number of reasons to be stoked – they’ll receive their own pair of socks with their design on and take home 10% of all royalties made off the sale of their socks.
Plus, and this is pretty cool, for each and every pair of Sexy Socks sold they’ll give a pair to a child in need – so you’re supporting a great cause at the same time.
Now if you see your design below, or that of a friend, be sure to get behind them and vote for their design to win. As for the rest of you just go ahead and choose the design you’d most like to see, then wait for it to go on sale and snap up a pair or two.
Voting will be done on Twitter so simply tweet at us (@2oceansvibe) and Sexy Socks (@SexySocksSA) and name your winning design. Use the hashtag #SexySDesign to make sure your vote counts.
In no particular order here are those five finalists:
RUGBY
ELEPHANTS
SHADES
ICE-CREAM
LOLLIES
Over to you guys to pick your favourite design so choose wisely. The competition will close on April 20, with winners announced on April 22 so get those votes in and help your favourite take home the title of Sexiest Sock Designer in South Africa (bucket list tick).
