The love of Vespas really does go deep. Taking inspiration from the two-wheeled Italian wasp, many people go beyond just collecting and resorting the iconic scooter. Because, sometimes, you need to show your appreciation away from your garage. Like, in your house.
Remember that dude who created iconic paintings of Vespas? Well, a Spanish company, Bel & Bel, has come up with the genius decision to re-contextualise the actual scooter into a piece of furniture. The idea came about when the company’s founders wanted to use recycled materials:
Our initial decision to work with waste materials was born of a ecological thought: the recycling. We also believe that some design lines remain the same or greater value than the current ones. And can be given a new use, a more artistic and durable new life.
And, to keep with the theme of sitting on a scooter, the company created colourful chairs.
Almost as good as those race-car beds, but we’re no longer five.
