Another sitting of parliament, another Matrix-like performance from Jacob Zuma as he dodged bullets coming from all angles.
Perhaps dodged is the wrong word, because to be honest he simply ignored the most pressing questions put to him (here) . One of those came from DA leader Mmusi Maimane, who took offence to his question being sidestepped by the president.
As you can see the Speaker of Parliament was having none of it, asking Mmusi to leave Parliament. As has now become customary the rest of the party followed suit, hurling insults over their shoulders as they left the building.
Here’s a thought guys, why not remain in Parliament and ask the questions Maimane would have asked had he been there? You mock the ANC for blindly following their leader, why must you then follow suit?
South Africans wanted and needed to see tough questions put to Zuma again and again – instead they got another mass walkout that left the sitting filled with yes men.
