If you’re one of the cool cats that churns out coffee for the Cape Town masses then your time to shine might be now, the Badass Barista competition seeing our snap-happy readers taking to the streets.
We told you all about this competition last week but for those still in the dark here’s a brief rundown. By now you’re surely familiar with our Naughty Hipster competition that blew up last year, turning into a viral sensation that saw SA’s hippest citizens honoured for their out the box dress sense.
Each week we would publish a picture of a Naughty Hipster sent in by a reader, and once the picture went live the hipster in the picture had 24 hours to contact us and prove it was them.Take for example this gem below, the picture sent in by a reader:
And then this proof of life rebuttal from the hipster himself:
Well played sir, but why would you be so keen to prove that’s you in the picture?
On the line was a prized pair of PUMA kicks, either for the person who sent in the snap or the Naughty Hipster themselves. All pretty easy right, which is why we’re excited for you to get involved in our Badass Barista competition.
So far five readers have sent in their pictures, most looking like they managed to snap their photo undetected. On the line each month are two cases of Barista Wine, one red and one white, with entries closing on the 25th of each month.
Just what is Badass though you ask? Here’s a nudge in the right direction, although don’t think you can’t snap a lady barista just because they used a male example below:
So what you gotta do to win then? Snap your picture and send it to henk@2oceansvibemedia.com, and if yours is the best that month then we will publish it on the site. Once that picture goes up the barista has 24 hours to contact us and win those two cases themselves, and if we don’t hear from them it’s you who’s drinking in style.
