Hello 21st century, I was just checking whether it was still a thing that educated people around the world can’t accept two people of the same sex engaging in a relationship.

A McDonald’s advert over in Taiwan has religious groups up in arms, a son coming out as homosexual to his father, leading them to call for a fast food boycott. Fortune carries this:

One group called the Alliance of Taiwan Religious Groups for the Protection of Family is leading the charge in condemning the commercial, and pushing for a boycott, Shanghaiist reports, citing local news sources. “Now, even if you want to just take a leak at a McDonald’s bathroom, you can’t help but feel polluted,” a representative reportedly said.

That’s right, they used the word ‘polluted’. Never mind the fact that if you’re in a McDonald’s you’re already polluting your body, unless it’s after midnight in which case you’re excused.

Can you imagine an existence so sad that adverts on TV cause you so much anger and hatred?
