While Trump has spoken of building a wall to keep out illegal immigrants, Macedonia has acted, constructing parallel lines of a 30km, 2.5m barbed-wire fence along its border with Greece. This has come to light after the news that migrants are hanging themselves due to the lack of options they have to survive after leaving their home out of desperation.
Check out this:
In the effort to keep out migrants, Greece’s own citizens are currently stranded within the country as the bottleneck line of people waiting to pass into neighbouring states has Greeks unable to move. Now, Greece is set to turn into a massive refugee camp as Brussels officials are handing over around £375 million to Athens in return for providing shelter for 100 000 people.
The European Union have basically decided to sacrifice Greece to the migrants – but it’s not as if Greece was doing economically well, anyway. German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced to migrants trying to leave Greece that they could no longer choose which European country they want to move to, but should rather stay in Greece. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said:
We have come to the time when Greece is likely to be sacrifice.
Warning Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, he carried on:
It will be your responsibility because you did not do anything on the Turkish-Greek border.
Around 3,600 people land in Greece every day and at least 7,000 migrants are camped on Greece’s northern border with Macedonia, which has been closed since hundreds tried to force their way through on Monday.
Basically, Europe is being introduced to whole bunch of people deemed not good enough for their first worldliness and have absolutely no idea how to create programmes to assist in integrating them into their communities.
And they haven’t done shit to assist the countries the people are fleeing from. But whatever, it’s not really their problem, yet.
