It all started 12 months ago when Taylor Swift was asked by her bestie to be her maid of honour. Posted on Instagram, the invite was from her childhood friend, Britany Maack.

This is Taylor’s first time as maid of honour and hinted for the role just three months before:

I’ve never been a maid of honor before. This is my first time, and it’s really, really important to me because this is my best friend, who I’ve known since I was born. And she’s marrying someone I’ve known since I was 4.
