At 56, Here’s The Oldest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model EVER

Unlike Donald Trump some people just get better with age, but others also become more comfortable in their skin and couldn't give a hoot what you think.

Age is but a number, a motto Nicola Griffin certainly subscribes to. The 56-year-old has made history as Sports Illustrated’s oldest ever model, her appearance in the Swimsuits For All campaign cementing her place in history.

The campaign gained attention last year when it featured so called ‘plus-size model’ Ashley Graham, who will again feature alongside Griffin and British Ghanaian ‘plus-size model’ Philomena Kwao.

But back to Griffin, who had this to say on the Daily Mail:

‘It’s not all about being 20 and 5’10”. We’re bored of that! We are all different ages and sizes and that’s the beauty of it. We’re real women.’

‘I was nervous because all the girls I was with were very young,’ Nicole admitted. ‘I was anxious about what they were going to do with me. And they did put me in a gold bikini! But it was fine, I had no reason to nervous.’

‘My children can’t believe it. They text me and they’re like, “Mom, is it true?” They keep asking me to double check. They both think it’s marvelous though,’ she said. ‘Their boyfriends are so excited too, which is great. There’s a lot of giggling going on.’

Here are Kwao and Graham in the same bikini:

Cue the haters and their recycled jokes.

Has anyone ever heard of a male plus-size model? Funny that…
