Homs was once the city of more than a million people. Today, it is the historical evidence of the toll that years of civil war takes on a city. Shelled and mortared into oblivion, what was once Syria’s third-largest city is now an absolute wreck, and a group of Russians got some drone coverage to show the world just how destructive the civil war was.
Aside from sightings of a white car and several kids, the city looks deserted. Bleak indeed.
