Oh to be a student again – the complete lack of hangovers, the ability to watch nine episodes of a series back to back and a metabolism that could deal with all the pizza I could throw at it. What could be better right?
Well how about if your degree was actually in pizza and all things related? A UK pizza chain has teamed up with Manchester Metropolitan University to create 1 500 new apprenticeships over the next five years, with this below from Mashable:
…would-be apprentices could continue their studies right up to degree level, which means a degree in pizza is now a thing.
Apprentices can learn the art of pizza-making as well as a range of skills to equip them for a career in the hospitality industry.
I guess that takes the old Bachelor of Arts joke out of the equation. You know the one…what’s the difference between a BA graduate and a pizza? A pizza can feed a family – unless you eat it like I do and no one else gets a slice.
We’re sure of one thing around these parts, the fact that if this course made its way to South Africa Butler’s would be the guys to dish out the advice.
