WATCH: Perfect Football Kick Knocks Drone Out The Sky [Video]

Drones are everywhere these days, but that doesn’t mean they’re popular with every high school kid in New Zealand.

A pupil at Auckland’s Rosmini College took exception to a drone flying above the school fields and launched a football into the air to bring the beast down. It turned out to be quite the kick, the drone flying at higher than the top of the rugby posts but still getting a clobbering. This from TVNZ:

Emma Wright, a production manager for KOR, said the DJI Phantom 3 Advanced drone was above the rugby goal post height when it was struck.

“This is the first time our drone has been struck and sent down … The drone plummeted to the ground but incredibly was not damaged.”

All’s well that ends well, this chap will get his five minutes of fame and the drone emerged unscathed.
