The evolution of the sex doll might go something like this: gap between the cushions on couch, blow-up doll, rubber doll with lifelike genitals and now the ability to actually interact with the doll in what some say is a meaningful manner.
The robot sex doll is almost upon us and debate is raging as to the ethical implications of such an invention. One of the designers described the interaction as an ‘entertaining dialogue that will add to the experience for people and add to the illusion of a relationship of sorts’.
The rebuttal from Kathleen Richardson, the director of the Campaign Against Sex Robots (it’s a thing we swear), is strongly worded and it’s clear she is disgusted by the concept.
