There is lots of footage of shootouts between cops and the bad guys on the net, but none quite as harrowing or shocking as the events in this video.

The gunman, 38-year-old Lamar Moore, apparently turned up at the 6th precinct house in Detroit and started shooting at police. In the footage you can clearly see the nonchalant Lamar walking in and then start firing from out of frame. A police officer immediately collapses and what follows is incredible.

Apparently Moore decided to take it upon himself to commit “death by cop” and would keep shooting until he was shot dead.

The bravery shown by the officers involved is truly spectacular and incredibly none of the officers were killed. The female sergeant involved was saved by her bullet-proof vest, the precinct commander took a bullet in the back, but still kept shooting and another sergeant suffered a bullet graze to the head.

The whole thing only ended when Moore jumped over the front desk and continued firing. You can’t see exactly who kills him, but eventually he collapses and dies.

Apparently Moore was being investigated for keeping a thirteen-year-old girl as a sex slave, so suffice it to say, this was one bad man.
