One might say that Emily Ratajkowski owes a fair amount to whoever cast her in the ‘Blurred Lines’ music video. Her career has since gone from strength to strength, her name often in the tabloids and various brands dressing her in their lingerie (alright, HERE and HERE).
You might not get the impression that she is thankful for the exposure if you caught some of her recent interview with InStyle. The video that landed her the role of student temptress in Gone Girl is something she is rather tired of talking about as Billboard reports:
“I wasn’t into the idea at all at first. I think I came off as a bit annoyed in the video. Now, it’s the bane of my existence,” she told InStyle... “When anyone comes up to me about ‘Blurred Lines,’ I’m like, are we seriously talking about a video from three years ago?”
At least she is still landing big screen roles, appearing alongside Zac Efron in We Are Your Friends. She might not be as stoked about her latest on-screen role though, that movie is tanking hard and critics are panning it, Here’s another Billboard article:
[The] electronic dance music drama We Are Your Friends forged few friendships, debuting to a dismal $1.8 million from 2,333 locations, the worst opening of all time for a new major studio offering opening in 2,000 or more theaters…
At least this is one role she probably won’t have to talk about three years down the line, no one will have seen it by the sounds of things.
