It would be fair to say the Proteas could use a morale boosting win against the Kiwis in the ODI series beginning today. We were recently humbled in Bangladesh and, with two vitally important series coming up against India and England, some of the boys could use a little bump in the confidence department.
It appears the Proteas have put much effort into formulating a plan to counter the New Zealand batsmen, although less research was put into what hotel room Dale Steyn was staying in. This became obvious after a team memo meant for the quickie was delivered to the wrong room, outlining our bowling strategy in great detail.
The incident may have remained on the down low, except someone saw fit to publish the memo to Facebook. Here’s that post…
Well now, that is awkward, whoever thought Dale was in Room 230 might need a polite talking to.
Hey New Zealand let’s play fair, we showed you ours now return the favour. I’m not all that interested in how you plan on getting Farhaan Berhardien out, I don’t think anyone is, but I would love to see what tactics you think might work against the phenomenon that is AB de Villiers.
