It would be fair to say the reputation of hunters the world over has been dragged through the mud these past few weeks. Cecil the lion’s killing has dominated news and social media and many who have put forward views in support of hunting (the legal variety of course) have often been attacked.
You would think then that now might not be the ideal time to post a slew of photos on Facebook that show you, an American from Idaho, coming to South Africa and blasting holes in some of our animals. Sabrina Corgatelli couldn’t give a hoot, however, and her pictures from her legal hunt have caused quite a bit of anger to come her way. Below from USA Today:
Corgatelli’s photos include images of her with a giraffe, wildebeest and warthog, which she shot under the guidance of Old Days Safari, an organization that arranges big-game hunting excursions for visitors.
In her July 25 post on the giraffe [the image up top], she said, “Such a amazing animal!! I couldn’t be any happier!! My emotion after getting him was a feeling I will never forget!!!
Let’s have a look at a few more of her holiday happy snaps then…
Following some scathing criticism she was forced to defend herself:
Corgatelli said that “Everything [I have] done [in South Africa] is legal, so how can you fault somebody because of their hobbies?”
She told Daly, “There is a connection with the animal, and just because we hunt them doesn’t mean we don’t have a respect for them.”
If you’re wondering about the title of ‘Boob Job’ Hunter comes from it’s not just her stance on hunting that has been attacked. Here’s the Inquisitr:
“You’ve posted dozens of pictures just in the past 48 hours, why?” asked the commenter on the Sabrina Corgatelli Facebook page. “You’re loving this attention and the in-your-face attitude that you project, huh? You’ve probably never had this much action on your page. Even your fake boobs and trashy make-up haven’t brought you the attention you crave.”
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist (or a plastic surgeon) to see she has had some assistance in THAT department…
Of course the fact that she has boob implants is not a black mark on her character. The fact that she seems to love the attention that comes with posting pictures of animals she has murdered, on the other hand, may point to some deeper issues…
