It looks like one of the most famous models going around will be hanging up her catwalk strut and retiring from the modelling game.
Cara Delevingne might be that rare breed of model set to make a successful transition to acting after her breakout performance in the movie Paper Towns. Critics have heaped praise on her acting chops and Cara has previously alluded to her ambitions at giving acting a real go. The Guardian reports:
“It felt crazy to turn down roles because I thought I’d do anything to be an actress, but I realised my dignity’s more important than that,” she said. Modelling was “killing my soul”, she has complained, comparing herself to a squeezed lemon.
Her performance in Paper Towns is just another feather in her cap after landing roles in London Fields, Pan, The Face of an Angel, Tulip Fever, Kids in Love , Valierian and Suicide Squad.
She hasn’t completely ruled out ever strutting the catwalk on the odd occasion but for now it seems shoots like THIS will be few and far between. Good luck out there, Hollywood is littered with stories of models who couldn’t quite crack the nod but you seem to be doing just fine thus far.
