My life, and my flat, would be a whole lot better if there was an Ikea in Cape Town. There’s nothing quite like whiling away a rainy Sunday eating meatballs and roaming one of their vast stores with a giant trolley, wheelying your way down the flat pack aisle.
It seems the design team were having a slow day, however, when they came up with this almost nifty table mat with a phone pocket.
As far as useless home accessories go, this must take the cake.
I’m trying to think of a situation where you have no pockets, drawers, shelves or floors at your disposal and would therefore need the help of a phone mat to avoid being a social media slave at the dinner table. Oh the times we live in. Sorry Ikea, but this one’s a fail.
