Do you remember the name Captain “Sully” Sullenberger, the man who landed a plane on the Hudson River back in 2009 and saved all 155 occupants? You should, and whilst this risky landing doesn’t really hold a candle to Sully’s, the pilot of this skydiving plane still deserves some serious credit for the way in which he avoided disaster.

The plane was forced to make an emergency landing on a highway in Stafford Township, New Jersey after it ran out of power. All five people on board emerged relatively unscathed with this from Sky News:

Video of the incident released by police shows the aircraft gliding onto the grass-covered reservation in the middle of the road, narrowly missing passing vehicles.

The instructor on board suffered a cut on his arm, but no other injuries were reported.

And these poor folks probably envisioned plummeting out of a plane with just a chute for protection as the riskiest part of their flight, little did they know…
