Kentucky Fried What Now?

In case you missed the first part of this story, meet Devorise Dixon, a Californian resident who was rather displeased with what he was served at his local KFC. That would be this picture below, a piece of deep-battered something that strongly resembles the outline of a rat.

Of course KFC weren’t having any of it and took to social media to rubbish Dixon’s claims, saying their multiple attempts at contacting him had proven unsuccessful. Dixon was busy readying his legal assault, no doubt planning to line his pockets with one of those monster lawsuits that seem to happen every so often.

KFC eventually managed to force Dixon’s lawyer to hand the sample over for independent testing and here’s what that lab found courtesy of Mashable:

Based on visual analysis of the sample (and accompanying photography) and on the results of the ELISA-TEK® Cooked Poultry Species Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay Kit (ELISA Technologies, Gainesville, FL), Food Safety Net Services, Ltd. declares the battered and breaded cooked meat sample to be poultry.

Uh oh son, looks you like you done messed with the big dogs. The fast food giants have yet to comment on rumours they might file a lawsuit of their own, and Dixon was once again unable to be reached for his take on those findings.

My guess is he is at a McDonald’s somewhere trying desperately to burn himself with a cup of hot coffee.
