Well, KFC, do you honestly blame us? If you’re not feeding us worms in your chicken pieces, you’re washing down raw chicken out back. So who’s not to believe eight-legged chicken rumours? I would. I’ve been to a chicken farm. I know what they do out there.
I mean, it’s a financially viable thing to create: multiple legs and wings on one chicken. You do the math.
The big guys at KFC are not happy about the rumour though and have filed three lawsuits against three different companies (who happen to be their competitors).
The suit alleges Chen An Zhi Chenggong Culture Communications Ltd., Wei Lu Kuang Technology and Ling Dian Technology deliberately misled consumers by posting photos and articles online.
And although the rumours of eight-legged, six-winged chickens are nasty, KFC has only asked for around $242 000 and apologies from each company, and for them to “immediately cease spreading the misinformation”.
That looks legit.
