What’s that they say about a tiger not being able to change his stripes? It seems the former world number one may have let the cat out the bag once more, ultimately resulting in him and pro skier Lindsey Vonn calling it quits.
The statements both parties released gave similar reasons for the split – too much time apart, hectic schedules, remain friends, all those lies people tell each other to save face. But if the fabled ‘anonymous close friend’ is to be believed, Tiger suffered something of a relapse.
The alleged incident took place in February after Woods was eliminated from the Farmers Insurance Open and turned to sex for comfort. Here’s the Daily Mail:
Most men would drink over such losses.Tiger has sex over it. Usually with local hookers whom he pays exorbitant amounts to, probably so they will want repeat business and won’t tell…
He doesn’t even see it as cheating. It’s just stress relief. It’s hard for him to see that he’s bad. Maybe he’s not. He’s not married to Lindsey…
Other sources claim that the two had attended couples therapy together, before Tiger eventually confessed to his infidelities. His admission of cheating on former wife Elin Nordegren (pictured below), around 120 affairs according to the golfer himself, are said to have cost him $23 million in endorsements alone.
That number pales into insignificance when compared to the divorce settlement, where Nordegren is reported to have walked away with over $100 million.
A word of advice Tiger, you can’t have your cake and eat it. I hear the single life isn’t all that bad when you’re worth $600 million.
