Let’s take a quick trip down memory lane kids – anyone remember that show Bravestarr (yes, two R’s)? You know, the one where the guy had the strength of a bear and the speed of a puma. If you don’t remember this show I feel for your childhood, because who wouldn’t want the speed of a puma right?
Well we can’t all be Usain Bolt, but we can enjoy the latest offerings from PUMA. The world’s leading sports brand has teamed up with House of Hackney (HOH) again, the freshest clothing and interiors label going around these days. The results? Well, take a quick look for yourself.
First founded as an interiors label with an emphasis on quality, design and ‘Made In England’, HoH husband and wife team of Javvy M. Royle and Freida Gormley captured the zeitgeist with their innovative designs.
This season the collaboration sees the R698 classic running shoe (R2 499) featuring PUMA’s trademark Trinomic technology, and the Becker OG (R2 999), the shoes that saw Boris Becker win at Wimbledon in ’85. The catch is both have been re-imagined in bright and bold print.
Of course it’s not just funky footwear we see coming out of the collaboration. We will also be treated to a T7 jacket (R1 699.00) viewed through HoH’s unique creative lens. The fresh HoH prints bask the collection in the sunshine of the Palmeral palm tree print, which when you break it down means you’re going to look like the bomb-diggity.
The collection is available at PUMA SELECT stores in Cape Town, Bree Street and Braamfontein, Johannesburg, as well as X-Trend, The Jungle and Queens.
