Looks like driving a Bentley doesn’t necessarily get you access to the exclusive Soho House in LA, as poor Kim Kardashian has experienced.

According to the former membership director of Soho House, Tim Geary, Kim has “unsuccessfully tried numerous times”. The night club has also denied access to all the ladies on The Real Housewives series, implying reality TV fame doesn’t make you worthy. Ouch.

There was debate over Britney Spears. Not sure how that played out. We tried not to give membership to people who would fuel paparazzi or bring press.

According to the Soho House website:

Unlike other club concepts, which often focus on wealth and status, we aim to assemble communities of members that have something in common: namely, a creative soul. The majority of our members work in traditional creative industries, with the film, fashion, advertising, music, art and media sectors, among others, heavily represented.

It’s a wonder we don’t have one in Cape Town.

Celebs that do enjoy the privacy and intimacy of the penthouse place? Amy Adams, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Bradley Cooper, Cameron Diaz and Robert Pattinson. Celebs who don’t? Britney and Kobe Bryant.

You can join your nearest Soho House so long as you have two members to vouch for you.
