Drone Footage Shows Cape Fire Devastation [Video]

Many of you readers out there have sent in pics and news from the front line in the battle against the Cape peninsula blaze and for that we are appreciative. Some have also sent in pics of people flicking cigarette butts out of car windows in areas already affected by the fire. We appreciate that too, and will continue to name and shame these idiots.

This drone footage taken of the devastation around Silvermine and Ou Kaapse Weg shows the extent of the damage to what was estimated to be 3000 hectares of vegetation.
