Shock, horror, disgust…people in Hollywood are doing lots and lots of the old Colombian Marching Powder.
We know, this really doesn’t come as much of a surprise does it? Anyone who saw any of Charlie Sheen’s rants during his meltdown, where it was rumoured he was spending up to $25 000 dollars on cocaine at a time, will know that blow has been a part of Tinseltown since the days of the Rat Pack.

Now one street artist has had just about enough of the problem being buried and has created a life-size statue of Oscar hoovering up a line or two. The statue was placed on the famous Hollywood Boulevard, where the industry’s finest are honoured with stars on the walkway. The artist, known by his alias ‘Plastic Jesus’, is quoted here by the Daily Beast:
Everybody knows about cocaine, and everybody knows somebody who does cocaine on a regular basis, but it’s just not discussed…Somebody out there is doing a shitload of cocaine and (the War on Drugs) is costing $40 billion a year. It’s just swept under the carpet.
Plastic Jesus has also previously highlighted the scourge of heroin in Los Angeles’ most famed industry with last year’s statuesque creation having a needle protruding from his arm.
We eagerly await his next installation, a statue of a guy trying really hard to be as cool as ‘Banksy’ whilst flogging off his creations for $25 000 a pop.
