Anyone living near the Cape Town City Bowl the last while will have seen their fair share of fiery infernos as Signal Hill has been battered by a number of blazes. Well Dubai, you may not have beautiful mountains at every turn but you do have some pretty tall buildings and one, the Marina Torch, has suffered a similar fate.
The famous Torch skyscraper, one of the world’s tallest residential buildings at 336 metres, lit up Dubai’s skyline late Friday night as strong winds caused a fire to rage out of control. Incredibly it seems https://www.stayfitgethealthy.com/med/ everyone emerged unscathed, with the BBC reporting:
One eyewitness [said] “there was debris flying everywhere, falling into neighbouring buildings”. The fire was later extinguished.
It is not known what caused the blaze. Hundreds of people were evacuated and there are no reports of any casualties.
