People have way too much time on their hands if this is all they have to worry about in life, but it is lovely and lighthearted and uplifting none-the-less.
The Westminster Kennel Club Show took place at Madison Square Garden yesterday, and what a stir it caused. Whilst there were many favourites, the winning dog came as a surprise to everyone.
It’s this little sweetheart, Miss P, a beagle.
Her proud handler, Will Alexander, says of Miss P: “She just never let me down. She didn’t make any mistakes.”
Miss P has a great aunt called Uno (owned by Caroline Dowell), who was the first Beagle to win the title in 2008. Caroline said of Miss P:
“I didn’t expect it. She’s really a nice dog. I don’t know her. I’ve only seen pictures until now.”
The world really is a happier place with animals.
P.S. I know many of us in SA have pets – it’s the way forward – but struggle leaving them at home all day. It’s terrible. What on earth is Mittens doing? Is she alright? Lonely? Digging up the new flower beds? Don’t put yourself or your dog through those kinds of despair. Rather drop Mittens at Proud Hounds a few days a week. She will be happy, learn to be social, and, who knows, she could be winning Saturday’s dog show.
